(Furniture)One Library table "Boulle" type, French, Louis XIV Revival (second Empire, ca. 1860-65), ebonized wood inlaid w/brass inlaid floral medallion in center of table top &cast bronze edge, 4-turned & fluted legs w/double in-carving stretcher w/cast bronze urn at center, top rectangular w/semicircular extensions on ends, drawer on one piece broken off & in drawer. History: Acquired along with 81.73.1 when Abraham Klauber purchased a furnished house in San Francisco in 1884. (Entry from Catalogue Card) |
